Dns not updating from dhcp in windows 2016
My Active Directory works fine, and I want to add DNS server.I follow many tutorials on You Tube, and everyone have more folders/files in DNS Manager, on forward zone to be exactly.DNS policies is a new feature in the DNS server role of Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview – not to be confused with group policies of the AD fame. You can create DNS policies on the DNS server to control how a DNS Server handles queries based on different parameters.
If set to Secure, you may begin to see more instances like the ones we'll be talking about in #4 below.
Check the DNS client service of the new computer The DNS client service is the service that does the actual update.
If this service is stopped for some reason no update will proceed.
If you don't need any of the fixes, you may want to block the update from being installed for the time being until Microsoft releases an update that addresses the issue.
I wonder if anybody can shed any light on my issue, I have added a new 2016 server as a DC to our existing domain, I have set it up with DNS, GC accordingly.
